Shipping

At Hirsch Vineyards, our first and foremost goal in shipping is to get you your wine in the safest, fastest and most cost-effective way possible. If you have any questions about shipping or need assistance in choosing a shipping method, please email shipping@hirschvineyards.com.

Below please find information that may help you in planning for your wine shipment:

  • We will notify you via email if your order is on weather hold. We’re happy to hold your order until the weather allows safe shipping, or you may choose to upgrade to an expedited ship method if you need the wine sooner. As wine can be damaged by exposure to extreme heat and cold, we ship via Ground service only when the forecasted temperature along the shipping route is between 40 and 79 degrees.
  • Choosing to ship via one of the expedited options may allow safe shipping when the forecasted temperature is between 35 degrees and 83 degrees (with ice packs).  While we discourage shipping when temperatures are forecasted to be 80+ degrees, Next Day delivery by 10:30am with ice packs, if available to your area, is an option.
  • You must be 21+ years of age to order or receive alcohol. Any shipments containing alcoholic beverages are sent with an "Adult Signature Required" sticker, and common carriers are required to ask and check for identification upon delivery.
  • This means an adult must be present at the time of delivery.

Shipping to a business rather than a home address can help ensure a successful first delivery attempt. Many UPS and FedEx Stores will also receive wine shipments on your behalf and hold for you to pick at a convenient time.

If your order needs to arrive by a specific date, such as for a gift or prior to travel, please contact us.

Returns

We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality products and service. Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you are dissatisfied with your order, please contact us within seven days of the date of your order for customer care assistance.

All wines sold are maintained at optimum conditions. We consider wine to be out of our control once it has been handed over to the shipper and we cannot be responsible for improper storage after it has been delivered. Therefore, once your wine order has been picked up by the common carrier for delivery, the wine becomes your responsibility. We are not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. We also cannot accept returns for the following reasons: wines that do not coincide with personal tastes, wines that have been adversely affected by customer storage, and wines that have been otherwise damaged as a result of any other adverse condition occurring while the wines were in the your care.

If wine is shipped back, we will refund your credit card for the cost of the wine less shipping and handling once it is received. If the original shipment was damaged or flawed you will receive a full refund, including shipping and handling charges.
